Home/The bar

The room

Somewhere between a college bar and a dive bar.

That’s a regular’s description and it’s the right one. Brick and wood, a long bar, plenty of TVs, and enough to do that you don’t have to just sit there.

What’s in here

Two pool tables, darts, and a Golden Tee.

The pool tables are the centre of the room and they’re usually in use. There’s a dart board, a Golden Tee, and a TouchTunes jukebox that somebody is always feeding.

Music leans heavy and it’s kept at a level where you can still talk. If the game’s on, it’s on, and there are enough screens that you won’t be craning round someone.

The look of it

Classy brick and wood, and then a pool cue.

It’s smarter inside than a neighborhood bar has any need to be, which is why it works for an after work drink and a Saturday night both.

Good for a group

High tables, booths and a long bar, so a crowd can spread out without taking the whole room. Tell us ahead if there’s a lot of you.

Good on your own

Sit at the bar, the game’s on, and happy hour runs until seven. The bartenders are quick even when it fills up.

Vegetarian options

More than most bars manage. The build your own pizza runs to four sauces, six cheeses and a long list of toppings, and plenty of that list has never been near a meat slicer.

Behind the bar

Two people, moving quickly.

On a busy night there are two bartenders working the bar and making the servers’ drinks as well. People notice, and they still say the drinks come fast.

If you’re in for food, the kitchen does the pizzas to order on a stone. Chicago style needs thirty minutes. Everything else comes out when it’s ready.
